nap time now

So the house is chaos. The renovations are half done. My kitchen is not near complete. Though now we have more heat. Hey, I rhymed!- so things are looking up (rhyming is always a sure sign that things are looking up).

I admit that sometimes I look around at the chaos that is currently my home and I want to cry. But then I tell myself that such a desire is pure and utter foolishness. Because hey, we have a home. Ours. Yes, it is half done; and yes we are ALL sick now (so it doesn't look like more is getting done any time soon). But- we have a home. Our home. We have each other. We have good family and good friends (who came through big for us helping renovate, pack, move, you name it). So I'm not going to cry. I'm not even going to complain anymore.

I am grateful. Hey mess, did you hear that? I am grateful!

Also, I am grateful for a number of blog awards I have received lately. I need to pick them up and send them all back out. And I will. I really will! But not right now. Right now I am going to go for a nap.

outfit details:

sweater, joe fresh style: $5
jeans, bluenotes: $10
white shirt, winners: $3
shoes, naturalizer: $30

Heart: Kimberellie (who shall be excused from all blog slacking for at least one more week while she recovers and unpacks and wipes her husband and baby's snotty noses)

  2. I second that!! I'd love to see pictures of your darling house- because it sounds oh so darling :). And you definitely deserve a nap! Take it girllll :)

And yes. The boy IS the same boy I've been mentioning! I'm sorry it's so vague. I just know he sometimes threatens to read my blog and I didn't want him to pick up on it...hahahhaa. The gist of the story: this guy had a long-distance girlfriend who was totally not right for him and made him unhappy. Me and him had a major thing and hung out constantly and I was head over heels for him. Well, she came back from her exchange (we're all in high school) FOR him....well...he had a huge crush on me, so he dumped her...and it's been a month..and now we are together :).

    Hahhaa :)

    Maggie:)

  4. The eyelet blouse is so cute, and I love those jeans and shoes!! I don't know what "winners" is but I wish we had one here..

I know how you feel about renovations, but it must be very hard with a baby, so I can't even imagine. My parents had to wash dishes in their bathroom, kept their refrigerator in a garage, and lived off of microwave food for 6 months when they had their kitchen renovated. My husband and I just moved into an apartment this last time we did it, I couldn't deal.

Hang in there, it will all be worth it I'm sure. Naps make everything better :)

  9. Aw I hope you and yours feel better soon! It's always when we're busiest that we get sick huh? But you look adorable=) I love how classic it is, right down to those cute shoes!

ps. I usually take acai supplements when I'm getting sick and the duration of the cold is so much shorter. It gets it thru your system so it's rough at first, but afterwards.. you'll feel like a champ:)
