denim on denim damsel

This outfit is the ultimate in casual. I mean, as chic as chambray is right now, you can't get more casual then denim on denim.

These jeans really please me. They please me because they are almost an exact replica of the first pair of jeans I fell in love with. The wash, the skinny legs -oh so late '80s early '90s. Even the rips remind me of my old jeans (though those were real rips because I was a little rapscallion who climbed trees and coal hills). And I love how comfortable this outfit is. I also love that I am going to one day look back on this pic and think: ugh, how could I have ever worn that? Well, maybe, we'll see. I was actually thinking the other day, how I hope that this blog is still floating around cyberspace when I am a grandmother. It would be oh so much fun to show my grandkidlings!

Right now I am eating my son's cereal bar. It's really good. I can't help myself. I know I shouldn't, but YUM. In other news, there's a really good sale on at my favorite thrift store today. If the little button wakes up from his nap in time I'm going to go. If not, well, I won't shed too many tears. I am really starting to realize that I have too many clothes. I mean, I would have too many clothes. If such a thing were possible. I know it isn't. But I'm just saying, in an alternate universe where it is possible to have too many clothes, I do.

Okay. I am going to watch a movie now. I would read a book; but I threw my half finished book across the living room earlier today because it just got too sad. I was disappointed it didn't make a very satisfactory thump when it hit the wall. Stupid book.

outfit details:

jeans, bluenotes: $10
chambray shirt, thrifted: $5
shoes, naturalizer: $30
sunnies, juicy couture: $150

Heart: Kimberellie

ps. I'm starting up a "blog store" pretty soon here. It's going to have vintage clothes, new clothes, as well as clothes I don't want anymore. If you go look at my profile you can check out the fancy header (which is about all that is there!).

  4. I've been wondering lately how exactly a blog store would work...
So yesturday I desided to check out the local S.A. since I hadn't been there in a very long time and my experience was quite similar to what you wrote of a couple days ago. Everything was way more than I was willing to spend...and I saw a few things there from Joe Fresh that I had bought for $1.94 at Superstore..and they were selling for $5!!

  9. Hey KImberellie :) I tried to leave this comment on your shop blog, but it wouldn't post
    :( So I'll post it here :D

This is an amazing idea, and you're inspiring me to (maybe) attempt this myself?? I don't have a bunch of stuff, but it could be a good way to re-sell cool finds that don't fit me, something like that.
I must ask, how do you get the huge banner up there (it's GORGEOUS, by the way!) I've attempted using blogger and just couldn't get my pics to show up right.
Wonderful endeavor, looking forward to seeing what you do here!
    xo
