hello summer

"You don't have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body." — C.S. Lewis*

Awhile back I mentioned how I wanted to wear this dress layered over a bathing suit and nothing else. Mission accomplished.

There's something about getting in the water with your clothes ON. It never ceases to thrill me to jump in the ocean/lake/river while still dressed. It's very freeing. You should try it.

* I thought I would start just randomly sticking in random quotes that I like.

outfit details:

dress, winners: $3
bathing suit, winners: $19
necklace, thrifted: $1

  1. That's such a perfect cover-up...I've never tried getting into the water with my clothes on (other than as a child falling into a pond while trying to catch a frog...ooops)
I love that necklace...so pretty and fun!

And my boots are black...in the picture of just the boots the red light on my camera kept shining on them...my new Camera is the Nikon CoolPix S6000....I have yet to figure it out because I've been too lazy to read the manual...fashion magazines are much more entertaining....

  4. Wearing a flowy dress in the water sounds amazing. I wouldn't want to try it in jeans, though.

With two children and a tendency to procrastinate, I don't often return comments. But I do appreciate them! So thank you!
